Is Accès Impôt also available on my mobile or tablet?Accès Impôt is suitable for all types of devices, whether computer, tablet or mobile. Your data is saved as you go and you can access your customer portal on either of your devices. In addition, by accessing it directly on your mobile, you can transmit your documents by simply taking photos when filing them.
What is the “deadline” for filing tax returns? The deadline is April 30. However, it is never too late to file your tax reports, whether for the current year or for previous years, to recover your tax credits and your tax returns if applicable.
And what is the impact if I miss the deadline? If you have a balance owing that year, you will have to pay a late-filing penalty. If you have tax returns, the deadline has no impact for you. The penalty is 5% of the balance owing, plus 1% of the balance for each full month late, up to a maximum of 12 months. This penalty can go up to 10%, plus 2% per month, if you delay too much (over a year).
How do I pay my balance to revenue agencies? You can pay your balances through most financial institutions by adding revenue agencies as vendors in your online bills. Do not forget to make separate payments to the Canada Revenue Agency and Revenu Quebec. You will also receive your notices of assessment following production indicating the exact balances and ways to pay.
How do I sign up for direct deposit? It is important to register for direct deposit if you are entitled to the solidarity credit since it is paid only by direct deposit. In addition to the solidarity credit, this greatly facilitates the payment of your other tax credits or returns. You need to register only once. Follow the following procedures: Revenu Quebec, Canada Revenue Agency.
